I have outdone myself, in the 'self restraint' department

My trump* loving cousin just posted a big THANK YOU to trump* because her grandmother received a card, from him, for her 104th Birthday.

I didn't tell her that it didn't come "from" him - it came from his office staff, probably a good 2 or 3 months after she sent out her letters asking for birthday cards. (She sent letters to every single Governor, Senator, Congressperson and to her state senator and congressman). And I also didn't ask her, on the odd chance he did sign the card (who can tell, from that signature?) did she disinfected it before handing it to her grandmother?

Instead I just kept my liberal snark to myself, and hid the post.

This is the same cousin who took me to task for, in her words, violating the oath I took, when I enlisted, to 'protect and defend' the President of the United States, every time I posted something anti-trump*.

I most definitely DID set her straight on that little nonsensical spew of

Don't get me wrong - I think it's Yeoman's work that she sent out all of those letters.

I'm not sure how many she got back because I try to avoid engaging on anything even REMOTELY political, with her. She's pretty much up to her eyebrows in the vat of Kool Aid. I'll probably be seeing her again, in June, at the family reunion. I'm already working on my polite smile and subject changing skills.
