in the future. MSNBC contributors (Harry Litman and Phil Rucker) both said that "Manafort will never be finished"...meaning that there are so many crimes in so many places committed by Manafort that yesterday's sentencing was only the beginning for him. They said that after yesterday's very light sentence other states beside NY, Illinois and Rhode Island, may make charges at a state level (which can only be pardoned by the state governor) AND there are more Federal charges coming his way that we don't know about yet (from Mueller and SDNY). A pundit said the same thing last night too.
Manafort's gout will likely worsen, at least as a public display like poor old Bill Cosby who is almost blind and can hardly walk...when he is going into court that is.

(11,885 posts)Without anyone giving him a pardon. HE may even see a lot more years as some states have longer sentences in many cases, and it'll show everyone else that they can't expect to be saved from corruption by a corrupt president giving them a pardon. He'll have to obstruct justice even more to stop that from happening, with threats , bribes, and payoffs.

(53,410 posts)Just because hes already been convicted in Federal Court doesnt mean state courts will drop any charges. Why would they?
