Where did the "democrats support infanticide" talking point come from?

I've heard the GOP say a lot of stupid and evil shit about us over the years, but this might be one of the most insane, evil, and abusive things they've come up with yet. And the scary thing is? It's sticking! We don't want to murder babies the second after they're born. That is absolute fucking nonsense and it needs to stop.

You know as well as anyone here the more outlandish something said against the Democrats is, the better Republicans like it.

I thoroughly expect that before the 2020 election, the GOP will claim the Democrats are trying to build "homegoing centers" where your innocent grandmother can go to be killed then processed into nutritious food for the poor.

"Soylent Green is not our campaign platform!" is where they want to push us.

They always seem to accuse Democrats/opponents of doing exactly what they are doing themselves despite the fact they know others consider it morally abhorrent, OR they take Democratic positions/values and claim they are the opposite. Probably 90% of right wing dumbasses' accusations and conspiracy-mongering fall into these two buckets.

Remember when the GOP Congress under Bush2 tried so hard to outlaw late-term abortions?

Women and doctors testified against it -- women with terrible heart wrenching stories, including women who had always been "pro-life" and were faced with awful choices about whether they themselves would die, among other things.

There's always ever been only a few every year, and they are truly medically necessary.

The GOP did not listen to a single word. They have hearts of stone.

What Gov. Northam was talking about was a nonviable baby being born, and the heart-wrenching discussion that follows between the parents and their doctor. The baby's going to live for hours, or you can go to heroic lengths to keep the baby alive for a few days, but it will be in agony the whole time. And then die.

The GOP purposely leaves out all of that to say the Democrats are executing live babies for [insert conservawhacko trigger meme masquerading as a reason here].

That there are about a gazillion (#sciencefact) different possibilities out there, and trying to write restrictive legislation to prevent one specific imagined evil is a fool's errand. Just leave it alone, and let those directly involved make the decision for themselves without conservawhackos' "help."

They scream and holler about fake news and are spreading blatently false info all over like rodent droppings without letting any common sense neter into their thought process. They are so deluded at this point. People that seemed like rational people are pushing this kind of ridiculous stuff daily. Im so saddened and infuriated by all this. I shared a Snopes article with someone and they said you cant trust Snopes because they have an agenda.

I really fear for the state of this country. Remeber when Trump said he could shoot someone and not lose voters. Man, he NAILED that one.

program had on a woman who claimed to be 13 years old and said her mother tried to abort her and thus she had handicaps. she didn't look 13 she looked in her 20s. 25 years later in another state, I again see some woman claiming to be a 13 year old whose mother had tried to abort her and she had handicaps as a result. Again she did not look 13 but more like late 20s. Everything the same. Mostly the interviewers were saying things like 'you poor girl' and how sorry they were but not asking direct questions. Called the tv station and told them this and they just told me to shut up.

They probably got it from the ant-abortion zealots. The zealots have been corrupting the landuage used around abortion for decades, so clinicians become “baby-killers,” pregnant women become “sluts,” and women who abort their fetus well before quickening allegedly practice infanticide.

According to such whack-job “logic,” ( ), we Democrats supposedly support infanticide.
