Build a Truth Machine

I am a computer scientist. Resume. I have worked with computers since the beginnings of the computer revolution. I got my first Internet id in 1988, while working at IBM.

For more than a dozen years I have worked on the design of a Truth Machine for the Internet. The idea represents a paradigm shift. Paradigm shifts change basic assumptions that people operate under. They can change things very quickly.

People do not see innovative ideas until they are realized in the world. The problem is that I do not have the resources to get my idea seriously considered by those who can implement it, members of the academic community, especially in the areas of computer science, mathematics, logic and philosophy.

The idea is simple. We must build a Truth Machine on the Internet. This software machine, combination meta-fact-and-logic-checker, would incorporate the Scientific Method and longstanding principals of classic academics into something closer to the truth. Far closer than what currently passes for truth in American media and politics.

In the short run this would put the concept of Truth in the forefront of politics. In the long run it would create a shared platform for truth, establishing independently verified data as primary over advertising and propaganda. The foundation already exists. All we need do is code these principals into a single platform on the Internet.

The Truth Machine could be built quickly. Since it follows standard Internet structures, both basic concepts and much of the actual coding already exists. In terms of the upcoming elections, merely bringing the concept forth could change outcomes positively for truth over demagoguery and lies.

Here is the web site. Try not to become confused by everything written there. It is simply a mechanism for academics and science to re-establish their rightful place in society, a place usurped by advertising and politics.

You and I can’t build this machine alone. But if you are like me, you know people working in colleges and universities, intellectuals, people in politics, in the media, prominent people or people who work for or know prominent people, people concerned for our future, deeply spiritual and religious individuals, people who write for scientific, academic or political journals...

Alone none of us can create the Truth Machine. But if you contact others, people you personally know and ask them to consider this idea, to think about it and ask others to think about it, we can begin to build what is necessary for our world to right itself.

Thank you,
Al

The only truth machine they know is the ancient technology of the AM radio and whatever the shitstain, fascists mouthpieces on there tell them to believe 24x7.

Want to broadcast the truth ? Think 1930's technology, not 2000's.
