On the other hand, i do have a lot of faith in the southern district of New York.

If he really does stick it to the Trump crime family, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

But after the lightweight Manafort “sentencing,” (albeit by an in-the tank-for-45 Reagan-appointed Judge), I’m at the point now where I just don’t trust any Republican to do anything that would seriously discipline Trump, as much as that’s sorely needed.

I wish I could be more optimistic, but there’s been far too little good news for democracy, fair play and the rule of law since 2016.
