Cheating scandal 101.

Yes they cheated...but its hard for me to get upset.

What about....
1. Legacy students--" My father went here... now me"
2. Sports students who get full scholarships with lousy SAT/ACT--" i'm a 400 lb tackle and I can even spell"
3. Rich people who donate millions to schools to get their kids in
4. Sometimes they let from out of country kids in because they can pay the FULL tuition...diversification and all

Who are we kidding?

Maybe they love their kids so much , they would do something stupid .... and illegal.

oh, Heaven to betsy

But it doesn't make what they did right...and now there is this:

5. I can pay to have someone else take a test for my child
6. I can pay off someone to say my child is an athlete, when their not

Cheating, lying and bribing people is just as bad!!!

Again and again I'll say it!

We have programs for all types of students: from those who are academically challenged to those that excel.

We have athletics! We have fine and performing arts! We have STEM!

It's all in your backyard for a fraction of the cost!

Their idea of "fair" is, hey, you're as free as me to pay for admission to a good school for your kid....

THE GAME IS TOTALLY RIGGED...... Be pissed off at those.

9. Bumps deserving kids out

Many of these elite schools only take a set number of kids. So deserving kids who worked their butts off may have gotten bumped.

And the legacy/donator stuff has to stop too. It’s insanely hard to get into the Ivy League, no way many of these rich kids had the grades.

Also, these elite prep schools are in on it too, guaranteeing large donor’s kids the grades to get into Harvard or Yale

It’s a rigged system.

Look, one could argue that athletic prowess should not mean one lick towards college admission, but at least those student athletes in normal instances had the skills and talents in the sports they were playing.

The ones mentioned that cheated just pretended and were granted admission and either faked an injury or changed their minds.

Student athletes who usually have SAT/ACTs that wouldnt even register any consideration, who bumps a deserving student out.

Daddy who gives huge donation that bumps a deserving student.

Legacy applications that bump another student out.

Super rich kids from rich countries like Saudi Arabia can pay all the tuition upfront are accepted and bumps a deserving student out.

The entire system is a pathetic joke....... From their perspective why shouldnt these rich families gain the system that other people get away with.

…..allowing those who didn't score as high on standardized tests to be admitted ahead of someone else "more deserving"
