I actually think Meghan was delighted, but she seems very self conscious. nolabear Mar 2019 #8

The overtones were interesting.

Meghan did hug her in the beginning though but then distanced herself.

Meghan is only there because she’s John McCain’s daughter. She brings nothing but canned phoney conservative talking points. Plus she is a liar. She need to go back to faux and wallow in the hate there.

( I corrected my wrong title)

Meghan is a strange one. It would be easy to call her entitled but I get the sense it's just the opposite. She seems so insecure that she pushes for space that she doesn't need to push for. She is fixated on her father, I suspect, not because of being secure in their attachment and her own importance, but just the opposite. And I don't mean that as a bad thing or pretend that I know for sure. But she's got the bluster and quick-to-be-offended of the frightened.

I can't say I like her but she brings out something in me--the old therapist maybe--that really wants to help her, because she does not seem like a secure, comfortable human being, and that's painful to see.
