(115,735 posts)in that district. A judge isn't "worthless" just because they make a decision you don't like in a case that you don't know anything about.

Judge can't decide whether she really meant it.

(115,735 posts)He was warned that he could be jailed, but that what happened to him was entirely at the discretion of the judge. She was not under an obligation to jail him, and clearly she didn't want to give him an opportunity or excuse to demand her recusal by claiming she was treating him unfairly, or to be able to present himself as a martyr. This is a judge who acts strategically, not emotionally or punitively.
