You put the pipes in a bag, and put the bag on the dolly, and roll on out. Heck, you can skip the bag even, the pipes will stay put.

He could have gotten a bag and gone out w/dolly and bag, but it's just as easy to grab a buggy, instead. And it saves using a bag and opening the dolly. Either choice is okay. I'd probably just make a quick decision at checkout, if it were me. If the dolly's easy to open, I'd probably do that, since I wouldn't have to return the buggy when I got to my car.

It would be significantly harder to lift it up into and out of a cart than it would be to push or pull it and carry a couple of pipes in my other hand. But maybe his one is a lightweight flimsy thing, who knows?

(It looks like dollies I've used before. It's not a heavy duty furniture dolly.) But there's no place in the dolly for pipes. It's open...intended for boxes. .

Either way is fine. I'd probably decide @ checkout counter. Whatever's easier & faster.

You have two 12" long 3/4" pipe nipples in the kiddie seat. About three or four pounds, at most. So, here's what you do: You carry the two pipe nipples in one hand and drag that hand truck to your car with the other hand. Or, if you aren't up to holding two pipe nipples in one hand, you could put them on the hand truck and carry them that way, although it doesn't seem worth the trouble. Besides, They'd have given you a plastic bag for your pipe nipples, so you could use both hands on the hand truck, if you're worried about grabbing the handle off-center and having it tip over or something.

Oh, and another note: What's up with the rolled up jeans cuffs. Nobody does that. In fact, why aren't you wearing the old dirty work jeans that are in the bottom drawer. You know you're gonna spill some shit on those nice new ones.

Finally, a plaid flannel shirt. Dude! Those are for liberals. And rolling up the sleeves? If it's that warm, just wear your MAGA T-shirt. Good luck with whatever you intend to do with that hand truck.

She complained often about the old one that we had.

Even though I washed the dishes, I'd thought she'd be thrilled by the upgrade to kitchen.

She wasn't thrilled.

Your Mother's Day gift reminds me of what my Dad once told me. That I was smart in the gifts I got him for Xmas because I could use them myself and I often did.

His explanation is above. It would have taken way too much work, apparently, to carry those two little pieces of pipe while pulling or pushing the dolly. So, he lifted the dolly up into the cart, because that was easier, you see. I guess the thought of putting the two little pieces of pipe on the dolly never occurred to him.

His explanation makes perfect sense to me. I probably would have done the same thing if I was trying to maneuver through checkout and out through the parking lot.

Hard to see the small sections of metal pipe resting in the child's seat area of the cart, but they're certainly there.

I have boycotted that big-box store ever since they made it clear that they will continue to discriminate against LGBT employers/applicants.

Then last year, after the stupid tax cut went into effect, the co-founder openly attacked Democratic law-makers. From Newsweek on 1/29/18:

Bernie Marcus, a co-founder of Home Depot, slammed Democrats who have criticized the Republican-led tax plan, telling the politicians to "use your stupid brains" on Fox News on Saturday.

In the weeks after President Donald Trump signed the sweeping tax bill, Republicans have rushed to declare it a victory for middle-class workers who received bonuses, while Democrats scoffed at the returns as insignificant. Marcus, whose employees received up to $1,000 in one-time bonuses, criticized Democrats for not understanding that business owners will need time to improve the economy.

"They are going to do smart things. They are going to make smart moves, and that will take a period of time, just like the small businesses. This is not going to turn overnight. Corporations are not going to open 14 buildings overnight," Marcus said on Fox News. "Come on, give me a break, you've got to use your brains. I mean, Democrats, use your stupid brains. You have any stupid brains and don't understand what happens."

Trickle-down economics! Yeah, we've seen how that's been working for us, haven't we?

Rather than line his pockets -- he's retired, but still is heavily invested in their stocks -- I'd much rather spend my hard-earned money at a locally-owned hardware store. That store's prices are fair and competitive, plants in their nursery are healthy and productive, and I don't have to walk a half-mile to get from the parking spot to the front door (although the exercise would do me a world of good). Where I don't have to search for an employee -- or, more and more likely, have someone paged -- to help me find something, answer questions or give recommendations. A couple months ago, I was looking for a specific item and the local store staffer said they didn't carry it, but I might try shopping at Home Despot. That didn't happen.

First, is this someone you actually saw, and followed him to his car to see if he had a Trump bumper sticker? Or is it some picture you found on the Internet and decided to have fun with?

Also, he may well have intended that hand truck for use on a floor which could be damaged by glass, gravel, or hardware picked up off of the HD parking lot. His use of the cart to get his purchase to his vehicle is not illegal, immoral or dangerous.

For all you know, he might have been buying that hand truck to use in a semiconductor factory, where the thing would have to be extensively wiped down just from the dust it was picking up while riding in the basket.

Calling him out as a helpless, Prius driving lefty. LOL ...

And then guess what? Turns out he's 'one of their own'.

And you know why that happened?

THAT would be because people on the right ARE ALWAYS THE WRONG/SILLY/IGNORANT/VIOLENT/HATEFUL/RACIST FUCKSTICKS ... in every single actual real-life STORY that EVER OCCURS.

It's who they are. It's what they're about.

Being WRONG.
