A Plea To MAGA From a Former Tea-Partier - Part 1

By: TeaPainUSA

America stands in the foreshadow of the Mueller Report. Soon, as a nation, we will be forced to make a series of uncomfortable decisions. Never has there been a need for clear thinkin’ and level-headedness as now, for we are about to determine the path America will travel for generations to come.

snip

Now most of y’all probably don’t know it, (unless you read Tea Pain’s books) but Tea Pain used to be a member of the Tea Party. Tea Pain, like many of you, feared that President Obama longed to be a dictator. Tea Party leaders like Ted Cruz warned of the dark path America would take under an Imperial Presidency. We did our duty and opposed President Obama at every turn.

As far as Tea Pain knew back then, the Constitution said we needed to own firearms to fight the government and send foreigners back where they came from. But then a funny thing happened. Tea Pain actually read the Constitution.

snip

Donald Trump, like W.C. Fields, is drunk on his own power and lookin’ for loopholes to negate the bedrock principles of our Constitution. If this doesn't upset you to your core, try this simple exercise: imagine Trump was black.

snip

Simply put, you now embrace everything about Donald Trump you once feared about Obama. It is between you and your Maker to figure out why.

Tea will leave you with this simple lesson. Be careful of the powers you grant your leader today, for one day you may find yourself on the other side of ‘em.

I didn't real TeaPain's book, so I didn't know he was a teabagger. Interesting turnaround. He's one of my favorite tweeters. I love this guy & can't wait for Part 2.

As we anticipate Mueller's Report, it's more important than ever we act as Americans first. Tea Pain, a former Tea Partier, begins a multi-part series appealin' to MAGA, as well as all Americans, to remember their first loyalty is to the Constitution.

1. He raises a good point. 45 embodies everything the Tea Party ridiculously feared under Obama.

Yet, except for a few on the right, they are silent and/or embrace the orange dictator.

Any Republican who claims to support the Constitution needs to be called a liar to their face.

called out on a daily basis on their hypocrisy, especially now when rump is so blatantly trying to skirt the powers of Congress to build his wall, among other things.

statements like this bother me.

"This will require Democrats, Republicans and Independents to set aside our party banners for a season and think rationally as Americans first, guided by our loyalty to the fundamental principles found in the Constitution."

No Tea Pain, I don't need to put aside my party banner because the rank and file of my part have been on the side of right and the constitution all along. And I want people to start acknowledging that fact when they post this, "we must put aside our partisanship" bullshit. We don't need to put aside our partisanship. We need to embrace it and own it and state loud and clear that we are for human rights, equal rights, the Constitution and rule of law, economic fairness, and a clean environment.

They say screw identity politics. I say screw anybody that likes to pretend identity politics don't matter and embrace what we as a party really stand for. We Democrats don't need to embrace clear thinking and level headedness, Tea Pain. We have had it all along.
