Topic is weather. We are high enough on the hill that we are safe. Marta took this from just past our back fence. Parts of the railroad tracks are under water too. This is worse that the 2011 flood by far. The dam is also releasing more water because it is at capacity. The Might Mo (Mizzouri) can't be tamed all the time.

the floods back in the 80s, I lived along the Fox River in Northern IL/southern WI. Not sure how that compares to this, though. It's so warm over here, way further up the Mighty Mo, we are having ice dams break up and take out tons of trees and causing flooding. I saw chunks of frozen river, four feet or more thick, clumping up in several places along the portion I live near. I hope we don't have an early run-off season, could get too dry too soon.
Stay safe and I hope it passes without a lot of damage or lost lives.
