Trump urges General Motors to reopen Ohio plant in tweet

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump urged General Motors Co (GM.N) to reopen Ohio plant in a tweet on Saturday, ten days after the plant made its last Chevrolet Cruze.

The last Cruze rolled off the assembly line a week ago Wednesday at GM’s plant in Lordstown, Ohio, the first of five plants in North America to end production this year and ending U.S. production of the Cruze.

In a tweet, Trump said “Because the economy is so good, General Motors must get their Lordstown, Ohio, plant open, maybe in a different form or with a new owner, FAST!”

Trump added “Toyota is investing 13.5 $Billion in U.S., others likewise. G.M. MUST ACT QUICKLY. Time is of the essence!”

Just talked to a Auto analyst yesterday, apparently, Ford,GM,and Chrysler have conceded the Sedan market to Toyota and the South Koreans. US Auto makers are going to hang their hats on SUV's and Trucks.

Something else to watch for,VW and Ford are going to do Vehicles together.

If we elect another Republican President here then I’m gonna wear a bag over my head or else tell everyone I’m from Pennsylvania. There’s a lot of stupid going around here.

87k all Highway long distance miles. The last four years we never made 5k a year. Just do a annual Oil Change now. Living in the Desert,we have to replace the Battery every three years and Tires every four. Other than that, this will most likely be the last one and it is paid for. That is the best part.

I will know when it is time to hang it up. After spending fifty plus years behind the wheel one way or another,I will know. Just hope my eyesight holds out as long as the rest of the body.
