The actual costs of McCain's funeral were paid by the state of Arizona and the federal government because he was a member of Congress and a veteran.

Any Democratic member of Congress (current or former) or former president who dies during Trump's administration, which I hope doesn't happen, would be entitled to the same kind of ceremony if they or their family wanted it; Congress would pay for it and Trump wouldn't have a damn thing to say about it.
