General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsA few days ago, Lindsey Graham stated that the Mueller Report shouldn't be made public
UNLESS the investigation into HRC's e-mails was re-opened.
Yesterday, it was revealed how Jared Kushner, who enjoys full security clearance, has used not only private e-mails but an app on his I-phone to communicate sensitive information to GodKnowsWho on a regular basis.
Is it me, or does that seem to you that Lindsey is partially blind or a hypocrite?

(779 posts)And this morning on morning joe they are talking about how Trump is decimating our military, my suggestion would be to send Trump Jr and Kushner into the military to get some sense knocked into them.
I am biased towards the military, my husband, like McCain was in Viet Nam, was decorated for saving many lives, and in the end he died from Agent Orange exposure, so in effect he died for people like the Trumps who have no respect for our veterans.

(49,043 posts)Could explain the thesis promulgated on Morning Joe that "tRump is decimating our military"? How can that be when he and the Trumpanzees are promoting far and wide that he is boosting it and the budget certainly seems to contradict the thesis.

(20,214 posts)Spending for military staff, veterans and their families, not so much. Spending on the VA has been cut drastically.

(70,225 posts)yes, it is the job of the military to kill.
but it is, as you say, not the people but the equipment that they are spending on.
and i always ask this question- how much of that stuff comes in the front door, gets marked as surplus, and sold out the back door.
this part of the iran-contra scandal never got the attention it deserved. i have no reason to think they stopped for a minute. why would they?
how can it eat half of our tax dollars, and yet we cant take a country the size of california.

(1,562 posts)There's probably pictures of him with a goat.
Normally this would not be a problem with South Carolina voters, but rumor has it it was with a democratic goat.

Not sure how people ginned themselves up to think he was something other than that over the years.

(8,983 posts)My guess is he is being blackmailed the same way the Amazon guy was
The difference is instead of standing up to them, Lindsey ran and hid in the closet

(12,548 posts)Trump has dirt on him. It's not that complicated. It's usually one of the old distractions: Her emails, the demon socialists, etc .... What would they say if Trump was caught wearing a stained blue dress?

(23,156 posts)There is nothing drumpf could do now that his slave Lyndsey wouldn't blindly approve and promote. Whatever dirtt the Russians dug up on him & gave to drumpf must be super epic, like I can't even imagine what would be bad enough to force him to completely change into subservient pond scum.

(34,454 posts)ever since he threw the ghost of John McCain under the bus and started kissing trump's ass. This is the latest Winthrop University poll:
South Carolina Republicans: do you approve of Lindsay Graham?
(4/18): 51%
(3/19): 74%
So, what's changed since then?

(988 posts)Its more amazing to me to see some Dems realize that the GOP seem to be playing dirty.
The GOP is doing what they do ON PURPOSE. They know.
Dems have to figure out how to avoid being sucked in by these same Billionaires and fight back with fire.

(15,650 posts)with it unless a significant majority of the public does. That's why he (Graham) and the rest of what could actually amount to Russian agents in our government don't want it released.
If this is in fact the case, and only those of us who already know the truth about the situation ever know and understand it, they feel they can and will survive that.
That is why this is so dangerous to our democracy and Constitution. They may actually get away with it.
If what seems to be is actually true, these people are clearly traitors. If they are indeed traitors, they need to be outed and dealt with punitively as well as meaningfully (read harshly) in order to secure and stabilize our democracy and our Constitution.
Keep in mind these are the same people who have willingly, actively and repeatedly undermined democracy already via voter suppression and (almost certainly) election fraud -- and gotten away with it without consequence thus far. Why would they stop at that?
