They have to make their base believe there is no criminality. Even after it is released, they will say it shows no collusion, no criminality, no corruption, it was all a hoax, greatest president who ever lived.

Then when it doesn't come, they will ratchet up the tired "this has to end" nonsense likely with a new twist/allegation that he is now just dragging it on because he found nothing.

The real question should be: From what else are they trying to distract us? Because, that's all this is. And, people keep falling for it.

That would be Mueller and his team. They've never leaked before, why should they start now?

Mueller has court dates into May for sentencing. This thing should keep going on until then.

Until Mueller or someone from his team says a report is imminent, there is no news on this. And I'd expect them to let the public know a date when they will deliver it. It's not going to just be released on a Friday afternoon with no warning.

NBC tamped it down for just a few days, dropping the word "imminent" and saying "looming" (according to Nicolle Wallace) but yesterday they went nuts with it.

If they knew Trump was blameless they'd want Mueller to report everything, no matter how long it takes, because they would see the report as a exoneration.

They have been continually planting seeds of the doubt, fictitious rumors, suspicions and generating fresh waves of media coverage by starting another new whispering campaign that Mueller's report is imminent... this time. It gives Trump an opening to trash Mueller and continue casting doubt on his work, setting himself up as a poor victim of some nefarious Democratic plot to bring down the bestest precident in the history of the world.

That is all. It is annoying and I'm sick to death of it. Constant "Mueller report imminent" stories and reporting. BORING and stupid and obviously incorrect since no one from Mueller's office is leaking a drip.
