Impeachment is now officially off the table

Mueller was the only one who could give any momentum to a possible impeachment, if he had found evidence of crimes of some nature. His report includes no such findings. As such, all hearings and investigations from here on out will be even more hyper-partisan than previously. 45 will soon begin a victory tour and we are truly fucked as is now in an even stronger position in 2020 than he was before Friday.

It’s likely, however, that the most important “report” of them all will be the briefing that DOJ must provide to the congressional intelligence committees conveying the results of the counterintelligence investigation Mueller has superintended. In order to comply with the requirement of keeping those committees “fully and currently informed” of the results of the investigation, that briefing—which will probably include at least some written document—should include Mueller’s assessment, if any, about whether, how and to what extent Trump is compromised or is otherwise unable to perform his constitutional duties on behalf of the nation when it comes to the Russian threat to our electoral system. Does Trump have financial obligations to Russian interests?

7. You are correct, it isn't off the table. What we know is that the Mueller report did not conclude

that Trump obstructed justice, but it also did not exonerate him.

It will be interesting how the MSM presents this. Hopefully, it won't be like they did when Comey released the letter to the republicans in Congress 11 days before the election saying the "email investigation was reopened", which was a lie

It hasn't been on the table since Barr was named AG. We all knew Trump would replace his AG until he found someone that would play ball. When Barr took the job, I knew from his past this would be bad for us.

Not sure I agree with your other assertions. This might provide a blip for Trump, but I don't think it's going to help him long-term.

As for the victory tour, he's been running one since inauguration day.

Impeachment was always going to be difficult because of the numbers in the Senate. Had Mueller came to a different conclusion, 45 would have screamed witch hunt and everything else. But now he can't.

And what Mueller was able to find, items related to crimes committed by the family business, may bleed the Trump's dry.

Also, 45 can't use this investigation to divert from the issues. Which means he has to own the wall, he has to own the clusterfuck that is NK, he has to explain reversing decades of Russian policy and how he defers to Putin over our intelligence community, he has to own his racist policies, he has to own a new tax code that is driving the deficit up while increasing taxes on middle America by eliminating certain deductions, and he has to own the general incompetence of his administration. It goes on.

I want to see a deep investigation into how the Kushers obtained their "security clearances", why they use private email and why the entire family are allowed to use unsecured phones. Then, we have the subject of emoluments. Time to pop the top on that can of worms.
