who claimed to know exactly what evidence Mueller had and what it meant legally. All those folks who claimed to have "good sources." And all of those folks that spread around statements by folks like Louise Mensch or even Seth Abramson.
And by the way, why didn't Mensch tell us this was coming if she had such great sources (and where are those dozens of sealed indictments she claims were handed down nearly 2 years ago).
We weren't played for suckers by Mueller. We were played for suckers by folks who told us what we wanted to hear.

(560 posts)I still think what was/is pretty widely known and divulged to the public is clearly indicative of unusual and questionable contacts with Russian entities and efforts to hide or obscure those contacts, but maybe we were oversold on what the Special Counsel was able to establish in the way of criminal intent.
Maybe the full report will paint a damning enough picture, but I doubt it at this point.
