It looks like collusion between Trump and Barr...

It looks like Barr wanted the job of AG so badly that he decided to write a 19-page memo outlining his opposition to the Mueller investigation and his devout belief in the Supremacy of the Executive, so Donald Trump would hire him as his new AG.

Several weeks ago, the rumor was started that Mueller was about to finish his investigation. But Mueller was not ready to finish his investigation. He hung around for 3 or 4 more weeks.

It looks like Barr told him in no uncertain terms to finish his job. It doesn't appear that his job was finished. There were several loose ends. Was he ordered to turn over his finished work anyway?

Trump went to Florida and took his entire entourage of lawyers and communications people. He knew Barr was going to make his announcement and he wanted distance between them so people would not associate them as being in collusion.

It looks like Trump put pressure on Barr and he folded like a cheap suit. He brought Rosenstein along to make it look like it was a unanimous decision of the entire DOJ.

Trump's plane lands at Andrews just in time to give a celebratory speech, after the Barr letter became public.

Their PR immediately went into effect. Donald Trump was totally and completely exonerated. They made sure to get that out before any other information might show up? It was a plan and it worked just like they thought it would.

6. "Company Man"
Sun Mar 24, 2019, 10:41 PM
Mar 2019

Barr is first and foremost a "company man" for the Rethuglican Party. The depths of the Russian money laundering through their party, which had been occurring long before tRump, is so deep that if that scab was ever to be ripped off, it would truly present an existential crisis to their party.

Barr did not actually write the 19-page "unitary president" paper that he used to audition for the AG job. That was actually compiled by Rethug power brokers (using many of the same phrases as when they first wrote it over 20 years ago to justify Bush atrocities).

These guys play on a completely different level. They don't give a rat's ass about tRump. What they care about is the Rethug money machine. Barr was brought in to, above all, staunch the bleeding and keep the investigation away from the party, which is where it was heading.

If you're asking, "Why Barr?", look it up: Same guy who was brought in by the big guns to help obscure Rethug Party money schemes in Iran-Contra.

Barr is and always will be, until his evil soul departs this Earth, the company man for the Republiscum Party in moments where the corruption lid is about to blow.

If Barr did what you say and is as dirty as you suggest - will Mueller just
remain silent and let Barr walk all over his report and him? What about all the investigators that worked for Mueller? Will they remain silent? Or should we suspect that Mueller was in on this from the start?

I can't believe - based on what we were told about Mueller - that he would just roll over and remain silent and let this happen.

Of taking formerly respectable, honest, unimpeachable patriots and turning them into silly sycophant trump supporters.

Kelly
Mattis
Mueller

For example.

The list is long and consists of everyone with a good reputation who enters trump's circle. They all wind up going in like heroes only to come out of trump's ass as just another load of bullshit.

How the fuck did this orange clown command this level of power? There is something afoot here we haven't as yet recognized.

It's late and I don't have the energy to run through the entire list of every despicable action Mueller, in cahoots with buddies Comey, Barr, and other Rethugs, have been involved in through the decades that have resulted in serious and dire consequences for our nation, our Constitution, and the status of our democracy. It's a long and ugly list that traverses a path of multiple coverups, trillions of dollars in corruption, the death of over half a million people in illegal wars, horrific forms of torture, and more. Suffice it to say, Mueller's "boy scout" fantasy image is nothing more than propaganda bullshit that is actually a recent phenomenon only propagated over the past two years. I get it though; if you're completely oblivious of the cover-ups these men have been involved in before, you'll never be able to wrap your brain around this one. Honestly, just start doing the simplest of research. None of this info is difficult to find.

Just took a job on the Trump team.

Why do i keep thinking of Justice Kennedy abrupl resigning after we find his son was the Trump banker at Deutsche bank?

The corruption is so deep starting with Mueller covering the tortured, putting innocent people in jail. The corruption goes back to J Edgar Hoover. Barr, Comey and Mueller are just the latest versions. Let us not forget Bush was head of the CIA. We know he made deal with the Iranians to elect Reagan.

Dems should have had a choreographed response.

Nadler looked weak tonight. He's not made for tee vee, not direct and forceful enough.

Trump's DoJ was allowed to set the narrative -- the framing -- with poor pushback from Dems.

Schiff or Swalwell would have done much better tonight.

It looked like he was outside a train station or something, and he rambled and rambled. Standing there by himself, as if it was haphazard. It was even hard for news editors to get a sound bite because of the rambling. They had to cut and splice sentences to put something cogent together. The lighting was terrible. I think how much stronger it could have been with a thought to stagecraft.

It came off as if he wasn't expecting to do it, and he should have been.
