The last two years were not wasted. At the very least, Trump has been completely tied up with the investigation, which kept him from gaining steam in any direction. Moreover, there's reason to at least hope that the report will contain enough dirt to further wound Trump and fuel Congressional investigations.

Most importantly, the last two years have hardened people's perceptions. Those that loved Trump are now willing to die for him, and those that were suspicious of him -- the majority of Americans -- are now utterly convinced he's a criminal and a Russian agent. Calling his re-election inevitable is ridiculous fatalism. If we get our shit together, there is every reason to believe he's going down.

Impeachment is the only move in the Democrats CONTROL. That was taken Off The Table. Unless it is placed back on the menu, enough of the Public that is not in a corner already will believe Trump and Russia was not a PROVEN FACT.

Unless the Democrats push FORWARD with IMPEACHMENT -- which does not require anything but a Majority Vote of the U.S. House - which the Democrats Control.

Also, the Public that is not in a corner already is just enough with the help of the Russians to rig another election in 2020. It worked in 2016.
