Kellyanne Conway says Adam Schiff 'ought to resign today'

Kellyanne Conway on Monday said that House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff “ought to resign today” over his insistence during the Russia investigation that there was “plenty of evidence” pointing to collusion between President Donald Trump's campaign and the Kremlin.

Attorney General William Barr on Sunday announced in a leader to congressional leaders that special counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year investigation into the matter “did not find that the Trump Campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian Government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist” the campaign.

While Barr said that Mueller’s investigation was inconclusive on the issue of whether Trump obstructed justice in the probe, the president and his allies have seized on the special counsel’s conclusion on the collusion front, ripping those who accused the president of coordinating with Russia.

Conway, a senior counselor to Trump and his final campaign manager in 2016, asserted in an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” Monday morning that the president’s accusers “owe America an apology” for their “haranguing and harassing” of Trump and his inner circle over the Russia investigation.

She called out Schiff in addition to Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez, quoting both men’s claims that there was bountiful evidence that Trump conspired to work with Russians.
