They have been running tax and insurance fraud schemes for so long that the statute of limitations has run out on a lot of it. Before and during the election no one made any effort at all to investigate him

There is audio and transcripts from Howard Stern's show of trump saying things like he deserved the congressional medal of honor for all the sex he got in the 70s and saying it was "ok" to call his own daughter, Ivanka, "a piece of ass". Before and during the election no one made any effort at all to look it up because it was out there.
No. One. Cared.
I promise you that you could say all kinds of stuff about trump or federal or state government and not hear a peep (if they even knew what you were talking about) but say something about stuff going on in The Bachelor and you will, more likely than not, get a heated and passionate debate of their favorite character or synopsis of whatever situation might be (I guess. I have no idea what is going on in these shows. I've never watched shows like the Bachelor or the Kardashians)
I could give so many other examples. It's not negative. It's not fatalistic. It's not pessimistic
Its just reality.
