Investigators also say that he has not filed tax returns for himself or his businesses for years, and that he obstructed IRS efforts to collect millions in unpaid taxes from his law firm Eagan Avenatti, his coffee company Global Baristas, and himself personally.
The California case follows a steady stream of legal troubles plaguing the attorneyincluding allegations that he hid millions from bankruptcy court, and a divorce case in which he owes more than $1 million in child support to his ex-wife. The charges also reveal new information on how Avenatti allegedly funded his lavish, high-flying lifestyle even as he dodged the IRS and employee checks bounced.
- allegedly stole a client's settlement-money and forged documents when the client will get the money
- falsified banking account information and transactions to obstruct collection-efforts of the IRS
- Avenatti's Barista-company was renamed several times to evade the IRS
- when the IRS came for the bank-accounts of the Barista-company, Avenatti transfered the profits of the Barista-company into the accounts of his racing-team
- Avenatti had his companies pay him legal fees for services never rendered
- he forged a tax return document to embellish his earnings for bank loan application
- the cloud-server for his Barista-company is gone
- Avenatti never wanted communications in writing. He always gave orders via phone-call.
- And he didn't pay income tax for years despite claiming to be worth $70 million.

Don't try to scam people and companies out of millions of dollars, or otherwise try to extort them and you probably won't have to go to FPMITA prison.
He is the epitome of the slimy lawyer. Good riddance to bad garbage. He damaged our cause.

Where are you Avenatti fans? It sure would be refreshing to see at least a few of you admit you fell in love (just as most DUers do with this or that candidate) with him right from the jump, without due diligence as to his character.
