Wow - Babs blamed the orange hitler for her heart attack, said she is no longer Repuke.

"Barbara Bush blamed Donald Trump for her heart attack," begins a new excerpt from "The Matriarch," an inside look at the former first lady from USA Today's D.C. bureau chief Susan Page — out next week.

Just before the first anniversary of Trump's election, Bush said, "I'm trying not to think about it. We're a strong country, and I think it will all work out."

And asked last year if she was still a Republican: "I'd probably say no today."

"'I don’t understand why people are for him,' she said in one interview. In another, she expressed astonishment that women could support him."

stuff for the popcorn feedbag.

...I doubt she points a finger at the people responsible for the current state of the Republican party: The same people who worked so diligently to get her husband and son into office.

Although she might have words for the ones who turned on her husband after he made the last wheezing gasp of Republican fiscal responsibility and supported a modest income tax hike.

"After Trump was elected, a friend in Kennebunkport gave her a Trump countdown clock as a joke. The red, white, and blue digital clock displayed how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remained in Trump’s term."

She liked it "so much that when the Bushes returned to Houston that October, she brought it with her. It sat on her bedside table, where she could see it every day. It was there to the day she died."

Barbara Bush said stress from Trump led to her June 2016 hospitalization for a “heart attack,” though it was technically part of her long battle with congestive heart failure and chronic pulmonary disease.

I'm gonna go with the congestive heart failure and chronic pulmonary disease at the age of 90 and a little less drama.

Barbara Bush had NO business bitching about Trump when her own son stole the presidency and set us on this ugly path. Barbara Bush was a rich and entitled asshole.

I am not going to be seduced into saying, "Oh she was great!" She wasn't.

They didn't care much about anything else. So it was a personal thing, not an ideological thing.

Bush, Jr. showed up to rally support for Kavanaugh, and has done other things to help Trump, while maintaining his personal dislike for him.

I look at behavior, rather than words.

I had endometrial cancer in 2013 - surgery, chemo and radiation. The doc gave me a 65% chance of five-year survival.

I was healthy as a horse until the election of 2016. I was physically and mentally destroyed by the results.

Eight months later, I was in the hospital with severe anemia, caused by a bleeding ulcer. In diagnosing the ulcer, they discovered my cancer had returned. And they say I have one to three years left.

And now he wants to ax the ACA and slash Medicare. I just can't anymore. I only hope I survive to see him out of the White House and headed to jail for ever.
