House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has become a prime target for Republicans following the conclusion of special counsel Robert Muellers investigation.
GOP calls for him to resign reached a fever pitch Thursday, with President Trump saying he should be forced to leave Congress.
That same day Schiff faced blowback from Republicans on the Intelligence Committee, where he is pursuing a sprawling inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election and Trumps finances.
At the start of a committee hearing, Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) brandished a letter signed by all nine GOP members of the panel calling for Schiffs resignation and accusing him of promoting a "demonstrably false" narrative that harms the panels integrity.

(24,412 posts)There'd be no Republicans left in Congress if we demanded that every member of Congress resign because we thought that they were pushing false investigations. We don't even have the report yet, just a weak-a** summary written by Trump's tainted AG, so it's not as though Schiff has even been disproven and even if he was, so what?
