House majority staff members described their frustration with the attorney general.

Staffers also said Barr acknowledged making a mistake by speaking extensively with the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsey Graham, a Republican of South Carolina, over dinner before he had spoken with Nadler.

(2,690 posts)1. I'll be damned if Barr doesn't look to me like he could play John Goodman in movies -- and vice versa.
2. Jennifer Lawrence is such a beautiful woman and fine actress that I will devour -- albeit chastely -- with my eyes any video clips you choose to put up of her doing anything.
3. OK, so 3 points: Barr is a bozo, a lying, partisan bozo with no visible principles. I had hoped (maybe because I'm stupid sometimes) that because of his legal background and political experience he would rise above the sewer of politics and be an open, honest and ethical Att'y General. It's pretty clear now -- even to a dolt like I sometimes am -- that Barr is exactly the type of unethical, temporizing, crassly political son of a bit*h that Trump might go a'whoring with in Mar-a-Lago or in Jeff Epstein's private island menagerie of 13 year old girls.
4. Jennifer Lawrence is more beautiful, talented, articulate, and intelligent than the entirety of the current administration and all GOP politicians and voters put together in a sodden lump. (OK, so I made a 4th point, but I had to.)
5. (I can't help myself): John Goodman would be excellent playing the current farce of an Att'y General on a couple of choice SNL skits. He and Alec Baldwin would make a great pair, with Barr's intelligent bloviation matched by Trump's blustering narcissism.
So, OK, 5 points, with number 3 being my attempt at a serious political summing up of Trump's new friend and true enemy of the people.

And yeah, Jennifer is ... NICE
And indeed Goodman would be GOLDEN as Barr on SNL! Good call!

They set a low bar. I think trying to quell the evidence of Treason they opened another Pandoroas box.
They will never be free and Barr will be crucified, it's just a small payment for what he owes for IranContra Coverup.

(82,849 posts)Well, and you know Bill Barr: Can't help himself. Friendly guy. Saw his old pal Lindsey sitting by himself and joined him at his table? A minute or so later, a well-groomed young man came up to the table, but Lindsey shook his head and the young man disappeared. You know how it is. A total coincidence, and before he even knew it, Bill found himself blabbering all about the Mueller report to Lindsey, who seemed remarkably well-informed about what was in the report. The time got away from Bill and Lindsey, you know how it is, and the place was getting ready to shut down.
A simple mistake. Could happen to anyone.
Now, sit down and let me tell you why Bill Clinton chatting with Loretta Lynch about their grandkids is the scandal of the century!

If anyone thinks that fucking drooling herd of morons that go to dipshits rallies are going to get "angrier" if Democrats fight back, they're fucking delusional.

(51,593 posts)We know the GOP would be crying foul if the situation was reversed. Dems should use this and say it over and over and loudly, "Cover Up, Graham involved" or are we still taking the high road?
