"SNIP....

Former CIA officer Valerie Plame told The Hill that she is considering a potential run for Senate in New Mexico as a Democrat to replace retiring Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM).

Said Plame: “I am considering all my options. I am grateful for the opportunity to perhaps serve my country again.”

....SNIP"

and sentenced to 30 months for being a part of that and lying about it. But Shrub commuted the prison sentence (leaving the felony convictions and other penalties in place), and Drumpf eventually did the full pardon last year.

Valerie is one of the smartest. New Mexico would be lucky to have her represent them in the Senate.

(Kinda odd that her name tag is so...HUGE. Looks like ALL the name tags were in large print?)

15. The first names are usually larger, since most everyone is addressed by their first name.

The whole idea is to put everyone on an equal basis, no matter who you are. EVERYONE, no matter how well-known you are, has to wear a name tag. Titles are usually left at the door. I once got a compliment on a small speech I was asked to give. The compliment came from STEVE Breyer, not Justice Breyer of the Supreme Court.

Of course, with SOME people, you ignore their name tags, and call them "Mr. President" nonetheless:

11. Why do you look so serious in pictures?

The only one that I saw you truly smile in was the one with Hillary and your daughters. Or maybe it is just me that only see big smiles, not the subtle ones.

14. Very often, these are taken at a gathering I attend every December.

I always fly into the States on December 26th, and these things start two days later. The photos are usually taken at dinner or later on, which is about 3 A.M. for me. It is usually a struggle to keep my eyes open, much less say "cheese."

Valerie is enough to keep me awake, but even she has a hard time convincing me it's 10 in the morning when it's 10 PM where we are, and my body clock says, "it's four in the morning, WTF are you doing up?"

She'd be vastly better than Ben Ray Lujan.

Heck, I'd probably volunteer for her campaign if she runs. I did volunteer work for Tom Udall in '08.

I just asked her flat out. She replied that she had not made the firm decision yet, was just indeed "considering the possibilities." However, maybe a few encouraging letters to the editors of a few NM newspapers would help her realize that she would have some local support? Who knows, maybe she would be an ideal VP pick in 2024, to the ultimate horror of a certain former VP who delighted in torturing her about 15 years ago?
