(51,611 posts)and I have read bits from articles claiming she is a conspiracy nut or a Mueller groupie and now that the investigation is over her ratings are tanking over the past week. Of course I never click on that crap. I think Fux and Page Six, whatever that is, printed the stories.

(546 posts)never seen her in a tiny skirt sitting behind a glass desk.
Heck, I would bet that she might be wearing sneakers rather than spike heels.
Gotta love her even though I am a couple of decades older than the top of that demographic.

(19,204 posts)are in their 80s. They're the people the republican's fear mongering works on best.
Rachel is a national treasure. Her hard work certainly pays off, and it's a pleasure to have the opportunity each night to see her show.
Congratulations Rachel!

(21,163 posts)I knew it was bs. It was only wishful thinking on their part.
And for the typical fox viewer would find her too dense as they are not ever intelligently challenged.

(6,007 posts)I thought that sounded like BS when I saw that mentioned here and there. Sounded like RW wishes.

(845 posts)But we travel quite a bit so I see her on TV at hotels I like her factual topics but her eye rolls and smirks I can do without. Cable TV as a whole just sucks with the dramatic yelling and endless pontification over things that happened are yet to happen or may happen. Overall on the drama scale she is among the better but the bar is pretty low compared to the Cronkite days.

Literally, those sponsors don't pay much.

(46,337 posts)I don't put much stock in her ratings, Rachel herself, a few years ago was doing a story on Bill O'Reilly bragging about his ratings, and Rachel showed two cable shows that beat O'Reilly's ratings.
A show about a guy who still pans for gold, and a panel show about one of the "Walking Dead" shows.
So I said to a couple guys bragging about Faux "news'" ratings, what sells more, US News and World Report, or the National Enquirer?
Pretty obvious.
Rachel's show is factual, concise, and has credibility, unlike just about EVERYTHING on Faux.
Sensationalism sells.

(5,405 posts)and she has done something else, too.
Whatever news service you watch, they are all high energy, slightly panicky, 'you gotta watch us because your life depends on it', type of stuff.
She takes that same energy and points it in a different direction. Introspective, fact based, drawing intelligent inferences and conclusions. I find my IQ going up every time I watch her.
