I am NOT EVER returning the the GD Primaries page again. I swear I am just reading a circle jerk of nonsense. Senseless arguing on all sides. It pains me and frankly I think this could cost us 2020 with what I am reading. Ugg.

I predict it will continue.

(11,257 posts)2004, 2008, and 2016. Come to think of it, we only won one of those.
But take heart. The winner of the "DU primary" wins exactly 0 delegates. All of that arguing will be for naught when the vast Democratic electorate actually start casting votes.
As the author of a "someone on the internet is wrong" post myself, just today, I can assure you I have no real hope of affecting anyone's choice.
I think your choice to avoid the primaries page is probably a wise one. No good can come of that group, lol.

(58,785 posts)Why not put those threads to use by blocking the names circle-jerking there?. I eventually got fed up and did that during the last campaign season until DU started looking more like one of those private forums of thoughtful, knowledgeable people that won't have me.

(4,742 posts)I don't think they necessarily represent America...but I see a lot of this same nickering and fighting all over Twitter, Facebook, and being flamed now by CNN and even MSNBC.

(58,785 posts)complain and criticize, those whining in eternal despair, and those who have no standards or principles and no understanding worth sharing, and instead post with Democrats of principle and knowledge.
I can't come up with a better way to personally confound the efforts of the Republican and Russian trolls to turn our corner of the social media into a sick, infectious cesspool. Apparently also agents and bots of China, House of Sawd, Iran, and other nations from what's being reported. Keeping in mind that vigorous disagreement can be healthy, it's just the level at which it's engaged and the intent.
Right now I have no one blocked, no matter how irritating, but at some point I'll get tired of continually forgetting my own resolutions and sliding into the muck (I seem to lack what all those who really are above it have ) and do it for myself again.

(18,125 posts)Republican and longtime Trump critic Ana Navarro has no such qualms. Calling Biden a good friend who merely likes to comfort people, Navarro begged Democrats to stop searching for the perfect candidate and settle on someone who can beat Trump in 2020.
As a Republican who is desperate to see Donald Trump out of the White House I am perplexed by the circular firing squad that the Democrats are executing on themselves, Navarro said.
They have there is like it is like they are looking for the perfect candidate. You dont need the perfect candidate. You need a candidate good enough to beat Donald Trump. Please, for the love of God, dont screw it up and give us somebody because Ive given up on the Republicans being able to do that.

(13,496 posts)when it opened. I'm not going to do that to myself.
While I'm truly enthusiastic about one candidate (whom I will not name), I'm open to all the others. There is one I don't like too much, and I would feel a sense of dread if that candidate won the primary, but I'm going to vote for anyone over Trump, so it's not like it matters so much to me.
I'm willing to work with anybody. See how it shakes out. So getting embroiled in the frustrating arguments over the candidates doesn't do much for me. It'll only instill resentments and frustration.

(47,558 posts)....we played a game out on the playground called "Kill The Guy With The Ball." Simple game. The rules are in the name.
That's what primary season is at DU, with the perceived front-runner being "the guy with the ball."
