13. How does the umpire even know if that was in the batter's box and crossed the plate.

I watched it about five times and still can't tell. It looks like the ball just caught the corner or the batter's box as it crossed the inside edge of the plate, but maybe not. If he didn't swing, do you call that a ball or a strike?
