Reporting a fake assault is a small-time crime and often disposed of without jail time. Only Jessie's celebrity--which he also relied upon---made the crime seem bigger.

So justice was color blind in the Smollett case, and makes it a poor example of racism here. Notwithstanding the issue that Wohl may be a racist asshole.
