We will soon learn what Mueller, the FBI and Democrats in congress are made of.

Trump has declared the Russian investigation a coup. He is accusing others of what he his doing, a coup. He wants everyone involved investigated. Barr said there will be an investigation. Trump is now seeking revenge and he will use the news media to spin, to lie, and confuse the American people. We know how Trump works. He will now try to destroy the lives of Mueller, his team and people in the FBI. He will use this as a way to attack the Democrats in the election.

Mueller, sooner or later is going to have to come forward and tell us what the fuck happened. He, his team and the FBI will have to defend themselves or Trump will destroy them.

When is somebody going to stand up to Trump. Where has courage gone in this country? When will people stop threatening to go after Trump and actually go after Trump. Where are the subpoenas? Where are the hearings, charges for all the people who lied to congress? I am tired of hearing we will get the report, we will get his tax returns. Shut the fuck up and get them.

Trump is not playing by the fucking rules. Mueller, members of congress better wake up and take action before it's too late. Trump must be removed from office now or we risk losing our democracy. It's that simple.

The precedent that is being set right now in our country is something we may never be able to recover from. No election will fix it. Only the rule of law can fix it.

This is a slow motion coup and the American people, the news media, better wake up.

every day limbaugh and sons take free potshots from 1500 radio stations at dems who stick their necks out and we do nothing to get their backs - no protests, no boycotts - and then we blame them

it should be clear the cons are afraid of the rw media gods who have created this shit, who disinform the base and then use them to intimidate and enable. limbaugh has been laying out for 2 fucking years this script about the deep state and fisa bullshit and the left has done nothing and now they're using the same bullshit in hearings and half the country thinks it's true and the other half have no fucking clue where it came from

liberty will maintain its current fade-away. Grassroots action on a massive scale is required, yet the will isn’t there. Clicktivism won’t get it. Cyber rage blows over daily with each new abuse of power. I’m a marcher, a 70-year-old trooper, not a leader/organizer. We need charismatic leaders on the ground. There aren’t any stepping up. Perhaps we could find a 16-year-old, clear-spoken, courageous young warrior to lead us. The one who comes to mind is already engaged on another front. Rolling general strikes, rolling high school and college walkouts, I don’t know— rolling pan and pot banging at midnight. The point is— there’s no willingness.

protests don't work anymore because a few hundred shits on 1500 radio stations yell over them for as long as it takes for republicans to get over it - like iraq, like ows

if protests and activism gets legs the think tanks yawn, design a PR response that can include any lying they want, and spew it out of those radio stations as long as they need. like the 'deep state' bullshit the last 2 years from limbaugh. and unlike fox those stations can be locally coordinated. and they can say anything they want without being noticed by liberals/dems until it shows up coming out of trump or barr's mouth, for instance.

the most effective get-the-boulder-rolling place to protest is RW stations, or better yet, the 88 universities that support 260 limbaugh stations - they're everywhere and the GOP and their think tanks who depend on those stations will freak out. that will get media attention and scare away most of the advertisers left and force the ad industry to force many radio stations to drop limbaugh/hannity/levin/savage - rw radio - they want those loud stations and the huge audiences.

They need to take measured steps because of the pincer movement of the coup masters and enablers (Trumpians and Influencers/media) When Bad Actors and media act in concert there is always a danger that the forces of good get obliterated before we realize and can act upon our strength.

The Influencers/media did fail to stop the will of the people to see the Mueller Report--even though they had almost totally led with the Trumpian Talking Points about no collusion and exoneration).

27. As a minority
Wed Apr 10, 2019, 01:07 PM
Apr 2019

The GOP used to believe they could achieve a majority of support. All the way through Newt, they really thought they could. Even with Bush II, Rove thought they could create the "permanent republican majority". They failed. And they know it. But what they ALSO figured out was that they could achieve governing control through gerrymandering and the fact that the senate is controlled by a minority of the population. And they are using this time to cram the courts with their ultraconservative justices.

There is little hope for us in the long term. The constitutions fatal flaw is the Senate representation, which affects the EC as well. It is also the power to approve justices to the bench. Right now 50% of the population lives in just 8 states. By 2040 70% will live in just 15 states. A country cannot long survive being governed by an extreme minority. Add to that the oversized influence of the 10 20% of the household incomes, and it is an unavoidable recipe for revolution.

that Rove, the human pig, (no offense to actual pigs) talked about wasn't a majority of the people. It was a majority of government offices by any means necessary. Rule of the minority OVER the majority. The only way that fascism ever succeeds. They NEVER thought they could legitimately get majority consensus. Their only goal was to seize control. They're almost there.

The House will always be a problem for them, too many states that can't be particularly gerrymandered. But they'll always have the upper hand there, as long as they maintain control of state legislatures.

For me, fascism has always been defined as basically a minority believing that they have a "right to rule". When white people were the majority, it was hard to argue about their "right to rule". One could only make the argument that those "rules" had to conform to the Bill of Rights and civil rights in general. But now, with white people, especially white men becoming a minority, their assertion that they should be governing is basically an assertion of fascism.

Thank you.

There are solutions that could help to mitigate this problem, such as statehood for Puerto Rico and DC. David Faris wrote a book laying out other possibilities. But the truth is, we will probably never get there. There's not enough time, and the fatal flaws in our Constitution are exactly what is preventing us from fixing it. Ultimately, as power-mad Republicans clamp down harder and harder on any opposition in an effort to maintain and enforce minority rule over the majority, the federal system will collapse and something else will rise in its place.

Filing articles of impeachment is the fastest and most sure way to secure ALL of the evidence, now.

Waiting allows Trump's minions to run with a false narrative, to tear down the very rule of law and drive us into a place I don't think you want to go.

When the people are not blinded by the result of our timidity and allowed to know the truth, critical mass will propel defense of justice.

And that will accelerate removal.
