If I recall correctly, we had a government that falsely linked Iraq to the 9/11 attacks and that was just one of the many 'reasons' why the US invaded Iraq in 2003.
And I'm sure NONE of the Trump supporting Evangelicals today nodded with enthusiasm when Jerry Falwell said gay people and uppity women had a hand in the attacks as well, right?
So, Republicans have a lot of nerve to attack Rep. Ilhan Omar for her comments... Another case of "White's the difference?"

She’s a tiny woman so in any coward’s mind she’s unable to defend herself physically. She a Muslim so that makes it OK to attack her. She’s brown so who cares if they attack her. And she speaks out and everyone knows women that speak out are just begging to get hurt and they should shut up and be subservient.
