Memo to the GOP

There are a LOT of people who voted for Trump who are now experiencing buyer’s remorse.

It could be because they’re too ethical to condone putting toddlers in cages, or because they’re facing financial ruin due to Trump’s tariffs, or because they just filed their taxes and realized they’ve been fucked.

The reasons for their disgruntlement could stem from any one of Trump’s egregious statements and actions, or any combination thereof. Maybe it’s because of their scepticism of a man who changes his story on a daily basis, or a “stable genius” who thinks the noise of wind-turbines causes cancer. Maybe it’s the 9,000-plus lies told, or the twenty-five people with access to our nation’s most confidential information who were deemed a security risk, and got clearance anyway.

Maybe it’s the slam to the pocketbook because programs that benefit the poor are being gutted – and a lot of recipients of those programs are Republicans. Maybe it’s Trump’s divisive rhetoric, his encouragement of racism and violence. Maybe it’s people afraid of the direction the nation is being led into – or maybe it’s just fear of a lost job, or a medical emergency that could lead to bankruptcy.

Regardless of the reason, the fact is that while many former Trumpsters have already acknowledged their mistake in voting for this Idiot in the first place, you’d be hard-pressed to find a single HRC supporter who has watched Trump in action over the past two years and said, “This guy is terrific! When he’s up for re-election, you can count me in!

Think it through. ”I voted for Hillary, but I now support Trump” has never been uttered by anyone, anywhere.

”I voted for Trump, but I wouldn’t vote for him again” has been stated by more than a few former Trump-humpers

Just food for thought, Republicans – just food for thought.

on a daily basis, tweeting stupid CRAP. He is unfit for the office of president, or even as "head" of tRump enterprises. How any person with two brain cells can support this abomination of a "man" is beyond my comprehension. Compare President Obama, or President Clinton to this orange arse, as different as chalk and cheese. Thanks to the gop the office of president has been diminished probably beyond repair. The entire world is watching the US go down in flames with him at the helm, being propped up by the lower than low gop. We are screwed, since if he is removed we get Pence. Someone just commented that "Pence is such a homophobe, he only eats bananas SIDEWAYS" A fake Christian, who quietly allows his master to spew hate daily.

Thank you Nance! I cannot imagine that he has gained one single voter outside of his die-hard cult. But plenty of reasonable people who voted for him thinking he would bring "change" are not going to make the same mistake twice. Our greatest concern is republican cheating at the ballot box and we need to focus on that. Getting out the vote alone won't solve this problem. Making sure the vote is fair is of paramount importance.

because we have electronic voting machines that are never independently audited, many with no paper trail.

Owners of the voting machines claim proprietary rights for their software, it can't be exposed to the public how their software comes up with 1+1=3, or 4D-1=1R vote.

No way on God's green planet does Wisconsin hold fair elections.

They couldn't have made a bolder statement admitting that there could be compromised voting results with their machines. And it's not just them now. The way I see it, no private company should be able hold our voting process hostage. They need to be audited but, whenever it's brought up with most any politician or pundit they never want to even speculate that our voting process could be or is compromised. If we had a functioning justice system and MSM this would've been done years ago.

The Republican owners of the electronic voting machines wouldn't let anyone verify their announced "results" showing that Bush won. Only ONE of their machines was forensically examined after the election. It was in some tiny rural precinct, and the machine's owners didn't show up to collect it until after it had been examined. In a precinct with 600 registered voters, it gave 3000 votes to Bush.

The owners of the machines said it was just a "glitch," and STILL refused to allow the other machines in Ohio to be examined, since the winner of Ohio was the winner of the 2004 presidential election. Exit polls said Kerry clearly won Ohio, but the Ohio Secretary of State was also the chairman of the Ohio Committee to re-elect Bush. How did anyone ever think Ohio could go for Kerry under those circumstances? Like Stalin is supposed to have said: "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

THIS is how Republicans "win" elections.

**They DID generously deduct 2400 votes from Bush's margin of victory in Ohio.

Trump and the GOP are using bait and switch tactics on everything they say, then do differently later. They accuse others of doing what they are doing to distract , then claim they are the victim.

editor, title: what was your tipping point? A list of trumps actions that have hurt people...morally, socially, financially...presented to answer this benign question could get people to examine their support of trump. Attack just makes them dig their heels in.

But I don't believe Republicans are not going to vote for him again. If I've learned anything about Republicans over the years, it's that they show up and vote Republican, reliably.

How many of them are going to hold their noses and pull the lever for him again?

Probably a lot, so it's up to us to convince them otherwise.
