His name being shown on a list of graduates doesn't cut it with me.

(32,639 posts)... on Daddy's money. I believe he did obtain a BA degree from UPenn Wharton school, but he did the barest minimum of work to get it. His attendance was terrible and that is a matter of record. He probably paid smarter kids to write his papers and take tests for him. Knowing how he's managed later in life, it would be a virtual certainty that professors were influenced to give Chump passing grades that he didn't deserve. I'm sure his Dad's money got him through somehow.
We do know from David Cay Johnston's biography that Donald put most of his time into the Trump family business-managing the properties, collecting the rents etc. in Queens and Brooklyn. Donald already knew he would eventually work with his Dad and take over some day, because his older brother Freddy had little interest in it.

(56,828 posts)Back prior to the mid 70s or so, they would give the sons (mostly sons at that time) or grandsons (or nephews) of wealthy potential donors what was called "The Gentleman's C" - you could basically do nothing in class and you would still get a grade of C because the school didn't want to piss off a person that could potentially donate a new building to the school.
I believe there were accusations of that with George W Bush at Yale as well.

(8,200 posts)They were too valuable of a commodity on the sports field to be subjected to such things having a grade being based on objective test scores.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)would pay a person to take the test (SAT or ACT) for them so they could get into the "right" college. Especially after they (the NCAA) implemented minimum standards on standardized tests. I don't think it was commonplace, but nobody was surprised when hearing about it happening.

(42,770 posts)is today. Read he was ONLY interested in one thing - to learn everything possible about commercial real estate. Self-admittedly. He didn't want to learn anything else. He acts that way today too. Only tell me little bits, one liners. I don't want to learn.

The tweet could have gone like this instead:
You are trying hard the inevitable to keep the Muller report away from the public that "totally exonerates you", probably because....just like working so hard to keep your medical records out of the public because...
I dislike it very much when the other language is used (you don't allow) because it is final, giving up, and I feel that nothing scares the orange buffoon more than to have to read that WE WILL SEE ALL THE REPORTS, WE ARE NOT GIVING UP YOU PIECE OF SH^&*!

(42,770 posts)We get something and have at least one thing under our belt, we can change our mentality. So far, he has managed to keep hidden:
1. Tax returns
2. Full Mueller report (just said redacted version to Congress and public on Thursday)
3. IRS audit confirmations
4. College records
5. Transcript of Putin meeting
6. Visitor logs
And phony stuff
6. Real Golf scores
7. Video of him getting hole in one.
8. Proof of inauguration crowd size
9. Proof illegals voted for HRC
10. Pics of new part of wall built
11. X-rays of bone spurs, real medical records

(8,200 posts)Sadly, our family had a member who was a pathological liar. It is difficult to explain how someone can be so delusional. You can't deal with them as you would with others. They are virtually impossible to comprehend and will reverse themselves and claim that they never said of did what you know in fact that they were accused of doing. They can do immoral things and since they are amoral they just don't have the capability to say that they were wrong. It is interesting to note that people who knew Trump as a child said that he would insist that he was right when he was proven to be wrong. By all accounts he wasn't a nice child and even stoned the next door baby when he was in a playpen in neighbor's back yard. The neighbors said that the actually were afraid of him.
