Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Arnie and Jack very much deserved that medal, but not just for what they did for the game of golf, but for what they did outside of golf.

If I remember right, both Arnie and Jack were involved in Children's hospitals among other endeavors.

Mostly for using their fame to advance a certain cause. Someone upthread mentioned the work Jack and Arnold did advancing charities outside of golf.

I really haven't followed Tiger much since his ex-wife beat the shit out of him with a golf club after it came out all the porn stars he was sleeping with. Before that he was notoriously selfish and I don't believe that many people close to golf had many positive things to say about his personality. I hope he has grown. I cannot say how I would have reacted to being one of the most famous people in the world at 21 with hundreds of millions of dollars

Trump wants a photo op and has no respect for the award or the Presidency.

Including golf. Obama gave it to an African-American golfer.
