But -- from just reading Cher's tweet -- it doesn't look as if she was speaking against refugees so much as castigating LA for not doing better by its homeless, trying to throw some attention on that crying need.

The right is twisting this into support of their crimes against immigrants. Let's NOT help their despicable efforts. LA's homeless, who come from across this nation and from others, are epidemic.

Cher said Americans should take immigrants into their homes. I guess what she really meant was Americans should but just don't bring them into her neighborhood .

Trump didn't mention it ONCE during his campaign, nor did I hear HRC bring it up, for that matter. Conservatives only give a fuck because they can blame Librulz.

Because it affects large cities, many of them coastal, it is off the radar for most Americans. Except when they come visit; then they blame the cities and Librulz for not being able to cope with the ever-growing numbers.

Seattle has 12,500 homeless on the streets or in shelters. Their tents are everywhere that isn't privately owned property. They have few public restrooms.

Nationally, there are over a HALF MILLION homeless. It is a crisis. An overwhelming crisis. Any Republic that tells you they give a flying fuck is a liar. They laugh and laugh that liberal cities are struggling to deal with this.
