Democrats can offer a compromise to the White House...

Turn over all the documents, including the unredscted Mueller Report, and supply the witnesses requested by Congress, and the Democrats will hold off on beginning any impeachment proceedings.

Does that sound like a fair and constitutional compromise?

But, continue to stonewall and withholding the documents requested and you are guaranteeing an impeachment process down the road.

It's time to play hardball...it's been a long time since Democrats have played that game.

The situation draws many parallels to a hostage standoff. We’d be negotiating with terrorists.

8. Hold off? What does that mean? Until after the election or no impeachment ever in any case?

I'm having a hard time with that deal personally. We need to just start the process that ends with impeachment -- by calling Mueller to testify under oath and asking the right questions. It's the asking the right questions part that bothers me.

Democrats must first gather the facts and present them to the American people. If the facts show impeachment is necessary, then it should begin immediately, even if it one week before the election. Just my opinion.

additional facts -- like Mueller's testimony under oath, McGahn's testimony, maybe Don Jr's, and maybe even the tRumpster's himself (or at least attempting to get the last two based on compelling evidence being fully discussed publicly in hearings).

They will attempt to block Congress at every turn unless they are forced to do something different.

will put us in the strongest position. Offering to delay will result in our being played while the opposition rallies public opinion for support. So take it to them and put them in the position where they have to defend the indefensible. Impeachment proceedings will take time and investigation while we also work to influence public opinion. This will show the rePigs that the end is at hand.

We cannot defeat Trump and the Republicans at influencing public opinion, unless we have the facts and information at our fingertips. If the White House is permitted to withhold information from our Congress, then we cannot win that battle. Impeachment proceedings may be the only option left?

He is either immediately impeached, or he WILL be impeached based on what he's desperately trying to hide in the unredacted document. So that's really no "deal" for him at all.

No, the Congress just needs to tell him that he must resign now or face public impeachment hearings. He will refuse to step down, of course, so they just need to impeach his ass anyway.

The American people will still get to hear all about his many money-laundering schemes, his underaged urinating hookers, conspiring with Russia to subvert our elections, and every other slimy, disgusting thing he's fighting so desperately to keep hidden. And he will display epic levels of progressive dementia and insanity along the way.

That will take an unbelievable toll on him and the Republican party. This isn't just another consensual blowjob in the White House that NO ONE gives a fuck about.

I don't think it will be so easy for Republicans to defend when the facts are out front for everyone to see.
