(8,620 posts)I want to know what became of the $1B commission that, according to the Steele dossier was promised to trump for selling Putins interest in Gazprom. I suspect some of these issues were redacted.

(14,313 posts)the part about Russian involvement in our election. It seems the counterintelligence investigation was handed off to the National Security Division of the DoJ early on. That is the one that will get into the weeds of Wikileaks, etc. There is overlap, as in the case of Roger Stone, whose trial is coming up in November.
Mueller seemed to be guided by an (old shcool) conservative principle of limited and appropriately justified government enforcement of law, handing off many cases to lower venues appropriate to where the crime was committed, such as state attorneys and US attorneys, while Mueller focused on investigating within his limited mandate. That protected the SCO from charges of exceeding his authority. My guess then is that he also handed off financial crime investigations such as money laundering to FinCEN. So I think there is a lot more to come.

(4,007 posts)If Trump tower server and Alfa bank server were trading data, if Roseneft was sold and a chunk given to Trump, if Cambridge Analytica et al flipped WI, MN, PA, etc; these were pieces that existed and raised the specter of a clear and present danger to the integrity of our elections. The 12 criminal referrals to district courts.
The congress must have access to this or they cant do their job.
