One thing I had not thought of

But just heard on MSNBC is that it would be something to have a person running for re election after they were impeached. I guess that would be one good point for those in the pro impeachment now camp.

and they made a lot of good points. We really have to impeach because what have we got to lose. It would embolden tRump if we don't. It doesn't matter about removing him and the GOP Senate. Also, our reputation will be harmed if we don't as a party and foreign countries are watching us closely to see what we do. The Dems have to televise the hearings too. We must get this out to the general public and do it now. That was a good conversation on Sharpton's show.

He could run again and his base would still vote for him. Unless the GOP made a rule against giving the nomination to someone who'd been impeached, it could happen.
