The president said Happy Easter!

I admit I did not know that when I was informed at the bar last night.

I went to see a friend play at his cd release party so their were numerous old friends there and I joined a conversation about DJT. A woman I know said Trump does a lot of good things, to which I naturally asked for an example. And that was it: he said Happy Easter!. I don't think I was impressed, or even surprised, given his pandering so I let it sink in for a moment to ponder where this was going.

Having figured it out, I asked if she knew Obama said it 8 times that we know of, that it's not supposed to be unusual. Her face changed with that revelation and she moved to "it was the way he said it". I assume he didn't say covfefe, so points granted.

This is the real national emergency because I know where she gets her news. Like 42% of us she gets it from Facebook. Now that's not necessarily bad, there are a lot of legitimate articles there, but it makes her susceptible to fake news. It may seem completely reasonable to believe that Obama wouldn't say Happy Easter so as not to offend his Muslim buddies and Donald Trump has the balls to spit pork rinds in their eye. Or so the meme likely said.

Don't think for a second 2016 can't happen again. Nothing has been done to stop the Russians and they have only gotten better at influencing people through social media. In my slender poll last night I see too people rallying the wagons around a gift from God and I was disturbed. That girl voted for Hillary two years ago.
