The latest shows only 34% support impeachment.
We should not give them a lot of credibility because they are being manipulated. Republicans have gone full throttle to convince Democrats that it would be a bad thing for them if they were to impeach? As if they are concerned about what is bad for the Democrats?
The polls for impeachment had previously been 39%. So the more evidence that comes forward that there should be impeachment, the lower the polls go for impeachment?
I think a lot of Democrats are being manipulated by this propaganda.
Just my opinion.

(25,473 posts)And a long time for them to support impeaching him.
The same will likely be the case with Trump. In fact, his floor is probably higher than Nixon because seemingly 35% of the country is clueless and/or doesn't care.
This isn't going to be easy and it's not going to be quick. Those who believe either or both might want to prepare themselves for the long haul.

The poll isn't propaganda if it represents what the country really thinks or just because it's not what we expect. The numbers have been in the 35-40% range for months now. We shouldn't expect them to change overnight.

(51,623 posts)but a legal one. He broke the law (many times) and there is a lot of evidence. Polls/shmolls. Do we take a poll to decide if so and so broke the speed limit when he gets pulled over by a cop and then goes to traffic court? "Judge, I took a poll and all of my friends say you can't try me, let alone fine or arrest me". Sure, that would work out well.
