I see Rasmussen has had Pres. Obama up a couple points this week over Romney. I think he's trying to

set a bounce up for Romney post convention. He is raising Obama's numbers this week so he can lower them after the convention setting up a narrative that Faux News and Drudge will run with about Romney's "bounce".

Too cynical?

Nevertheless, what with the Democratic convention following, it will be nothing but a dead cat bounce. Bank on it. The GOP can't light a fire with wet matches.

They may fall into a sink hole rather than get a bounce.

But Hell, Romney's elevator, with the whole delegation on board, could fall down that sink hole and we'd still see a dead cat bounce in the polls.

And at the end of the day, the only polls I'm concerned about is the ones that open on the first Tuesday of November.

how much some states like Florida, North Carolina, and Iowa, shifted when Rasmussen polls are removed from the all-polls map at http://electoral-vote.com/ -

This -

vs this (from their "Rasmussen-free" link) -

Now you KNOW that when a site has link specifically listing "Rasmussen Free", then it really must be pretty much outliers most of the time (no matter which way they go). I know they are a rethug outlet.

They poll like that just to bring Obamas total numbers down to make it look like the R/R trainwreck has an actual chance. You see it on the map without the Rass polls. Its his and frankly Gallups sole purpose.
