Alleged Russian agent

Headline on CNN all day:

Alleged Russian agent Maria Butina sentenced to 18 months in prison on conspiracy charge

She's pled guilty and was just sentenced. Why is CNN still saying ALLEGED Russian Agent? What??

Is the GOP saying she is not guilty? That it's just the Dems alleging that she's a Russian Agent? Is there an effort by CNN to minimize the perception of Russian influence? WTF?

This is the kind of thing I would expect from TASS or RT, but ... really CNN?

they seem to think they need to pepper any sentence that mentions a crime w it somewhere.
