Hannity to Leave Fox News Partially Due to Lack of Trump Support, According to New Report

Donald Trump has been very unhappy with Fox News lately. First the president lamented that the network hosted a town hall for Bernie Sanders. Last week, he tore into the liberal leanings of hosts, Arthel Neville, Leland Vittert and Shepard Smith.

It seems that Trump is not the only prominent conservative who is having issues with Fox’s oversight. Host Sean Hannity has reportedly told friends that he plans to leave the network in 2021 due in part to the Murdochs’ lack of support for the president. The Murdoch family owns the network.

A Fox News staffer told Vanity Fair, “Sean doesn’t feel supported. He has no relationship with Lachlan [Murdoch]. Sean thinks, Wait a second, I was hired to get ratings and I get ratings, but now people are embarrassed about me? He feels Fox spends a lot of time supporting Shepard Smith but his show makes no money. That’s annoying to him.”

The relationship with Rupert Murdoch’s sons seems to be a tipping point for Hannity. He has also lost some significant allies in former network president’s Roger Ailes and Bill Shine. In fact, a second source told Vanity Fair that Hannity “told Trump last year that the Murdochs hate Trump, and Hannity is the only one holding Fox together.”

Perhaps Hannity has seen the hand writing on the wall with the Trump exposure. Sean is also connected to Cohen, his Attorney.

Republicans worship one thing, and that is money. I doubt Hannity could make what he makes now anywhere else. Not even close.

Maybe his pride is temporarily wounded, but he'll find some other Führer to chum up with when Trump is gone. I'm sure that if he has to choose between wounded pride an an 80% pay cut, that he'll let his pride take the hit first.

Why? Is he even too slimy for Fox News?

He's Trump's BFF, what does that tell us?

It tells us his name is somewhere under the redacted portion of the Mueller report. Okay, maybe I'm dreaming. Or just hoping for the best.

as a nationally known commentator (and it REALLY shows...he's a true believer in his often vile opinions and I suspect some other Foxers have long played cynical games). He seems to have a script in his own head that never wavers from right wing talking points. His lack of any educational background in critical thinking is obvious, and often laughable. O'Reilly, Kelly, etc. seemed out for the main chance for themselves while at Fox. OK, they were playing things to their advantage. Hannity just seems to be a nasty true believer in the worst right wing stuff.

I tend to doubt RTthat would be too much of a public admission that he was Putin's boy all along. I instead think he would prefer to appear to start up a Kremlin-financed network starring--surprise!--himself.

Both should resign now and start their own (failed) network. Is there a GoFundMe page? I'll support that.

A competing network to Fox News guided by the great business acumen of Trump, who three times bankrupted effin' casinos. I'm sure his network will be a rousing success like Trump Airlines, Trump casinos, or Trump University.

Sinclair wants to create a network that rivals Fox News. My guess is that Hannity will be a principal there and that the new network will be even more evil than Fox. Because if there’s one thing the Republicans are good at, it’s figuring out how to be even worse.

A) Ploy to bargain for a higher salary when contract is up for renewal, or

B) Trump is going to start his own "FOX News" network and will hire Hannity.

One thing for certain, Hannity is besotted with publicity and wouldn't stand for being ignored and forgotten. He likes believing he's a king-maker.

Hannity has been losing viewer share for over a year and many are going to Rachel. Also a lot of people have just stopped listening to Hannity because of all the B.S. I hope somebody starts a boycott of his sponsors, but that doesn't usually happen until he does something egregious.
