(33,643 posts)It's an absolute 100% hate-crime by a 19y.o. nutcase with a full-on Anti-Jewish manifesto on 8-Chan ... who also hated Trump because he's a Zionist ...

(35,317 posts)It's like the "we can't do this, otherwise the terrorists win."
Often the terrorists don't care if we "do this" or not; they just want their targets dead or afraid. Spreading their names? Meh. Spreading where they get their ideas, letting their manifesto out, pointing to their sources of inspiration gets their *message* out and sics others on the same sources.
I call it outsplaining. It's like mansplaining to women, but done by outsiders to insiders who, to be honest, already know their motivations and goals far, far better than the outsiders probably ever will. The outsiders are on the wrong path and track and are often willfully and blissfully ignorant of the fact there can even be a second path--it would be very discomfiting for them to accept that there might be a second way of understanding things instead of the One True Path.
I think of it as outsiders trying to make sense of some people they don't understand on the outsiders' own terms and then saying, "Ah, you see, we do understand them." Of course, it always boils down to, "We do understand them, they're wrong and evil." Or "stupid and backwards", which for some is the same thing. Said in talking about some of this same kind of falderal termed it "Orientalism" (which actually had more going for it than a lot of outsplaining).
