Suspect in deadly synagogue shooting near San Diego wrote anti-Semitic manifesto

A gunman armed with a semiautomatic rifle walked into a suburban San Diego County synagogue and opened fire on the congregation Saturday, killing one person and injuring three in an attack that authorities believe was motivated by hate.

A 19-year-old was arrested in connection with the shooting, authorities said. The gunman, who is white, entered Chabad of Poway on Chabad Way about 11:20 a.m. and started firing.

He was identified as John T. Earnest, a Rancho Penasquitos resident. He was arrested and is being questioned by homicide detectives.

Earnest appears to have written a letter posted on the Internet filled anti-Semitic screeds. In the letter, he also talked about the planning the attack.

Apparently in the 8 page letter he answers a lot of the questions you normally ask after one of these shootings. He addressed his political views, his family, background, genealogy, finances, his mental state, his views on death/suicide, who influenced him, where he was educated about his current views as well as mentioning someone who funded his enterprise. A lot of it is white/hate lingo and jargon so it was like trying to read and comprehend Greek.

I am watching the local news in San Diego and someone heard his mother when his parents were escorted to their home. She said, "But he didn't even have a rifle".

In his manifesto, John Earnest wrote, “I sacrifice this for the sake of my people. OUR people. I would die a thousand times over to prevent the doomed fate that the Jews have planned for my race.”

Earnest claims he set a fire at an Escondido mosque in the weeks after the Christchurch shooting. In his manifesto, Earnest wrote, “I scorched a mosque in Escondido with gasoline a week after Brenton Tarrant’s sacrifice and they never found shit on me “

In his manifesto, John Earnest wrote a “lightning round” with questions and answers. The first question he answered was whether he is a Trump supporter. He wrote, “You mean that Zionist, Jew-loving, anti-White, traitorous c*cksucker? Don’t make me laugh.”

The Pittsburgh shooting suspect had posted on Gab about why he didn’t support Trump, saying that he was not anti-Semitic enough for him.

About his political ideology, Earnest wrote, “It’s called not wanting to go extinct.”

Not a trump supporter he said
I have been very afraid thinking of who comes after trump
if we do not stop this hate wave we are under
It could get a lot worse later with what is being propped up, ignored under Trump now

...just the way that, had the shooter been Muslim, they would have investigated his mosque as a hotbed of radical terrorism.
