SHITLER's plan to destroy the comedians' tradition is backfiring.

The Con is being torn to shreds here - that is always funny.

(130,956 posts)almost as good as with his books.
He won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the 2011 American History Book Prize for his 2010 book Washington: A Life. He is also the recipient of the National Book Award for Nonfiction for his 1990 book The House of Morgan: An American Banking Dynasty and the Rise of Modern Finance.[3] His biographies of Alexander Hamilton (2004) and John D. Rockefeller (1998) were both nominated for National Book Critics Circle Awards, while the former served as the inspiration for the Hamilton musical, for which Chernow worked as a historical consultant. Another book, The Warburgs: The Twentieth-Century Odyssey of a Remarkable Jewish Family, was honored with the 1993 George S. Eccles Prize for Excellence in Economic Writing. As a freelance journalist, he has written over sixty articles in national publications.

(52,162 posts)but I suspected he might well be sorry they did when they chose to have a historian give the speech.
He should not have been allowed to make them change their format.
That said Chernow tore him to shreds

(4,341 posts)Words! Words! Words!
I'm so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
First from him, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do?
Don't talk of stars Burning above; If you're in love,
Show me! Tell me no dreams
Filled with desire. If you're on fire,
Show me! Here we are together in the middle of the night!
Doesn't anyone understand the repubs do not care about what people say about them? They are winning, hasn't anyone notice yet? They do whatever they feel like doing because the elected democrats are to afraid to act. Do you really think they care a comedian, or anyone is saying derogatory things about them? Please...do not rejoice about these subtleties, this is not a win for Democracy, it is not a win for the country, action is what counts, and there is none of it to be seen.

(70,700 posts)All I know and do around this website for Democratic cohorts is to support Democratic cohorts. I'm always puzzled by posts that SLUR vaguely, spitting at something without saying *what*, "throwing a stone while hiding the hand."
So, what WORDS in this "blog" are what set you off?!1 Mine?!1 It's clear that I, and all fire breathing DUers are on FIRE, so what exactly would it take to fucking SHOW you? The REPUKES are "winning" because fellow traveling so-called Dems spend more time in the circular firing squad against other Dems than against Repukes - IS THAT YOU?!.
*************ON EDIT: Also, check your grammar/diction/ - "notice" needs a "d"/past tense, "NOTICED" on it. And, "care a comedian" needs an "if" or really a "whether" in there. And the rest of your post is really dark and hopeless for any remedy, GOSH. So there is NO HOPE, eh? We're doomed DOOMED because of an internet post. So MY posting on the internet is a sign of uselessness but YOURS is not, got it.

(160,542 posts)be Democrats merely to create confusion, or destabilize conversations going on among Democratic posters.
I've noted that from the first here and at other sites where only progressives are likely to participate.
When you hear these people claiming "we" in their comments, you can almost LOL helplessly, as they are so easy to spot.
They have too much time on their hands, they actually FEAR progressives are going to finally overcome the provocateurs, the racists, the sexists, the classists, and create the society which allows the opportunities we all know are possible once the fascists stop sitting on everyones' faces, get out of the road, and grow up.
Nothing wrong with your opening, glad you took the time to post the thread, and I wanted to hear that historian's remarks again. Thank you.

(50,276 posts)It's astonishing how Trump has destroyed - or tried to destroy - anything joyful in life. Obama at the dinner was memorable and no one who watched will ever forget how funny and amazing he was. I hope someday there will be another POTUS who shows up and delivers hilarious one liners and makes everyone laugh. Right now it's as if we're stuck in a black hole of nastiness and hate.
