"But your Democrat governor here in Wisconsin, shockingly, stated that he will veto legislation that protects Wisconsin babies born alive. The baby is born, the mother meets with the doctor, they take care of the baby, they wrap the baby beautifully, and then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby," Trump said.
Trump's claim that mothers and doctors are permitted to execute a baby after it leaves the womb is incorrect. The bill he is referring to would mandate that health professionals do all they could to keep a baby alive if it was "born alive" and would penalize anyone who lets a baby die.

(146 posts)was that doctors and nurses should come out in force and dispute this nonsense. Ask these morons when and where did this occur? What was the means of execution? Can we meet some of the people who have gone through this ordeal? But facts dont matter. And its just getting worse. Their cheif has spoken.

(14,857 posts)Why do you think so many people believe such ridiculous lies? Why do they believe women are routinely walking into abortion clinics in their third trimester and getting elective abortions? Why do they think Plan B, and even ordinary birth control pills, work by causing abortions? It's because the Pro-Life [sic] people spread these lies constantly. They lie about it all the time already, so why do you think they would they object to one more lie?

(14,857 posts)Lots of right wingers think that's true, that babies are being born and then killed afterward. It's further complicated by the fact that many of them consider allowing nature to take its course, when someone is dying, to be exactly the same as an execution. They still think Terri Schiavo Schindler was murdered. They believe hospice workers deliberately overdose patients so they'll die faster. Etc. Of course, if it's them, or a member of their family, then it's completely different.
