Red Don is high 30s for impeachment where Nixon was low 40s.

5. Although I hated Nixon at the time, Trump has given me a belated appreciation of the man.

AND I was surprised at Kennedy's rating (handling of the Cuban Missile Crisis?) because I remember all the negativity about his candidacy and win in 1960, My mom was one of the few active Democrats in our very Republican town and greeted him when he came through on his barnstorming tour. I was in junior high at the time, but had no problem recruiting the "Kennedy Girls" because they all wanted the hat and sash and their mostly Nixon supporting parents indulged them. The quip after JFK won, was that he called Kruschev and said "Pack your bags."

8. Nixon was a smart, well read, and effective leader in domestic and foreign policy

But he was, nevertheless, a despicable human being with a very serious tragic flaw.

Trump, on the other hand, is neither smart nor well read and his "leadership" is a mirage that all intelligent people see through -- he's given huge tax cuts to the rich which have and will continue to add huge increases to the nation's deficit, is attempting to wreck the ACA , leaving millions of Americans without health insurance, has alienated virtually the entire African American and latino populations of this country through his racist actions, bigoted remarks, and inexcusable border "policies," and has publicly insulted and humiliated our closest allies in favor of sucking up to dictators who have never -- never! -- left any doubt about their enmity towards the freedoms and liberties of the citizens of the United States.

Nixon was, indeed, a crook. Trump doesn't even rise to that level.

people who are repubs and vote repub every time, people who didn't like Obama, people who weren't paying attention, and gullible people who believed his lies and/or thought it would be a hoot to see him as president. Sheesh.
