President Trump told a Wisconsin rally that his administration is sending undocumented migrants to sanctuary cities.

Said Trump: “Last month alone, 100,000 illegal immigrants arrived at our borders, placing a massive strain on communities … and public resources, like nobody has ever seen before. Now we’re sending many of them to sanctuary cities, thank you very much. They ain’t too happy about it.”

He added: “I’m proud to tell you that was actually my sick idea.”

So, why are they getting their panties in a twist now that Trump has said he's sending undocumented immigrants to them.

You'd think they'd be saying "Bring 'em. We got this"

Mayors of sanctuary cities have correctly called out Trump for callously attempting to use people as political pawns in this way, as well as how this blatant attempt to attack areas and citizens who oppose his vile policies is extremely petulant at its core.

And yes, some mayors such as Seattle’s Mayor Durkan did in fact counter this with a statement similar to what you note should be said.

THE FACTS: There's no evidence that the Trump administration has begun to send the migrants to sanctuary cities en masse. He proposed the idea in part to punish Democratic congressional foes for inaction on the border, but Homeland Security officials rejected the plan as unworkable.

Trump said this month he was "strongly considering" the proposal, hours after White House and Homeland Security officials had insisted the idea had been eschewed twice.

There were no indications federal officials were taking any steps to move forward with the idea or considered the president's words anything more than bluster. His words to the Wisconsin crowd, suggesting his "sick idea" was in motion, appeared to be no more than that.

I've got several low-voltage cabling projects that are stalled and I can't fill positions at $30 + bennies. The only hires I have managed to make were poaching from another site, which doesn't solve the problem on a regional level.

Getting more workers and consumers is not a punishment.

1. Make some bogus claim that he's gonna do something designed to get some backlash.

2. Back off from actually doing it when the press reacts.

3. Run out to his base and lie that he's actually doing said bullshit for cheers.

He did it with the wall.
